Infographic Tells You To Embrace Instagram Instead of Facebook
Facebook has plateaued while Instagram is just getting warmed up. That’s the message of a new infographic from Selfstartr (via Social Media Today) advising brands where to consider placing more of their efforts.
The message is in line with some new findings from Pew Research Center, which said, “Facebook remains the most popular social media site – 72% of online adults are Facebook users, amounting to 62% of all American adults. Growth on the site has largely plateaued. There has not been a significant change in the overall share of users since 2012. Those on Facebook remain highly engaged with 70% saying they log on daily, including 43% who do so several times a day.”
Meanwhile, 59% of Instagram users use it every day compared to 49% in September.
Earlier this year, we saw reports of Facebook’s organic reach issues driving brands to Instagram. Whether or not that’s a sirens’ song remains to be seen.
